A while ago I posted on the fact that Microsoft Azure Data Centers are Made of ITPAC Containers. This doesn’t just make the data centers more modular and easier to maintain, but it’s also done in an effort to optimize for power usage, and overall water and energy consumption.

This video is a few years old now, but it helps give a good idea of how green Microsoft Azure data centers are, as well as how much Microsoft thinks about energy and cost savings when developing and managing their data centers.
