Microsoft has been hard at work to integrate all the existing Service Management API based services (such as VMs, Storage, Service Bus, etc) over to the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) API and including them in the newer, current Azure Portal (http://portal.azure.com). Azure AD is one of the last hold outs to get addd to the current Azure Portal. Until everything gets moved over to support the ARM APIs and the current Azure Portal there will still be the Azure Portal duality, but today we are yet another step closer to only having a single Azure Portal to think about.
